Issue 105 – July 16, 2022

Fancy a call?

Hey there,

It’s Robin from CFD Engine and it’s a shorter note this week as I’m trying to gauge interest in a plan I’m hatching 🤔

I’ve been looking for a way to offer one-to-one help for a while. Most of that time has been spent procrastinating over clever ways to do it, as opposed to just opening up some calendar slots & talking to people.

So, I’m going to put that right…

Every day, throughout September, I’ll be available for a one-to-one call with anyone who thinks I might be able to help them with something CFD-related.

Interested?

Perhaps you’ve read something in a previous issue & wondered how you might apply it in your own CFD?

Maybe you’re wrestling with a specific problem in OpenFOAM (or ParaView, or Docker, or even AWS)?

Maybe you’re wondering if there’s an easier way to do something or a way to improve your workflow?

That kind of thing (& more) although debugging a solver crash or fixing a convergence issue might be a bit beyond these calls.

I’m not saying I have all the answers & we probably won’t have time to go super-deep, but I’d like to think we can do something useful 🤞

Before I clear my schedule, I wanted to gauge your interest – if you dig the idea & reckon you might want to book a call, then hit reply & let me know. No commitment.

Also, in case you’re wondering, the calls will be free – you’ll actually be doing me a huge favour that should yield better, more useful emails in the future 👏

What do you think? Anything I can help you with on a call?

If so, drop me a note saying “I’m in 👍” & I’ll get on with organising it.

Normal service resumes next week with my headlines from OpenFOAM v10.

Until then, stay safe,

Signed Robin K
