I’m about to launch a new offer & I thought I’d run it past you first.
I try not to pitch in these emails, so I hope you’ll forgive it this time around 🙏
What’s the big idea?
I’m borrowing an idea from the gym & launching four new “bootcamps” –high-impact, short-duration, affordable coaching programmes– one for meshing, one for post-pro, one for automation & one for AWS (my strong suits).
Each one includes…
4-weeks of one-on-one coaching, laser-focussed on one of the topics (meshing, post-pro, automation or running on AWS).
They’re entirely remote, all done via Discord, & include:
- twice-weekly meetings;
- daily check-ins;
- private chat for async discussion;
- private GitHub repos for sharing & tracking case files;
- live editing, debugging & case development in VS Code;
We start out establishing where you’re at? What you want to achieve? What resources you have? And what you’ve already tried?
Background info to help set the objectives for our four-week sprint.
There’s no curriculum, depending on the focus, we could cover…
For Meshing
Things like…tool selection, geometry prep, defeaturing, CAD export, snappyHexMesh recipe development, mesh checking/troubleshooting & fixing, automation & prep for solution.
For Post-pro
Things like…migrating to ParaView, function object selection, exporting from OpenFOAM, remote interactive post-pro, automation, animation, image & data processing.
For Automation
Things like…command-line scripting, using third-party APIs (Slack notifications, Dropbox upload, command-line emails & image hosting, for example), version control & archiving, plus job & data management.
For AWS
Things like…instance choice, storage strategy, cost-optimisation, data transfer & tweaking your local process to make it much easier to run in the cloud.
How much?
They’re aimed at CFD professionals (with some OpenFOAM familiarity) who want a bespoke, time-bound support package to take them beyond the tutorials, & level-up their meshing/post-pro/automation or AWS game.
I’m going to list the bootcamps at $500 each (initially) & we’ll see where we go from there 🤞
